- Forty-seven percent have some college education; eighteen percent have a degree.
- Married couples, at 56%, make up the majority of households.
- More than half are employed full time, and 30% are retired.
- Household income is up: the median is $28,900.
- Average household size is 2.3 people.
Last year, approximately 15% of all single family homes built were manufactured homes. Based on 2000 statistics, 8% of the nation’s population lives in a manufactured home. Those 22 million people lived in approximately 10 million homes.
In 2001 the economic impact of the manufactured home industry was approximately $20.1 billion. The average price of the manufactured home was $48,800.
